Kayaking on the non-stop Neris

Incredible experiences for both young and old
Experience Vilnius from the Water: Kayaking on the Neris River:
Our routes on the Neris River are easy and perfect for beginners. Families with children and seniors alike will feel comfortable and safe on this river. The Neris is a popular choice because our starting points are close to the city center and very easy to reach. The routes stretch from the outskirts of the city and conclude right in the heart of Vilnius, at the White Bridge.
Our main routes on the Neris take approximately 2 or 3-4 hours, starting near the Verkiai Water Mill or in Ožkiniai. During the trip, you will see Vilnius from a different perspective, discovering stunning architectural monuments and natural treasures along the way!
If you have the time, we invite you to explore the Verkiai Regional Park before your water adventure. There, you can visit the Verkiai Palace, the Verkiai Water Mill, Trinapolis Church, the Way of the Cross, and many other natural and architectural wonders. We invite everyone who loves nature and water activities to try kayak rentals in Vilnius and see a different side of the city.
Technical Information about the Neris River:
The Neris features about 100 rapids, most of which are located in the Karveliškės-Verkiai, Vokė-Dūkšta, Kaspariškės-Padaigai, and Turžėnai-Karmėlava sections. The largest ones are Avinas, Saidžiai, and Druskinė, with lengths of 350-800 m, depths of 0.8-1.3 m, and current speeds ranging from 1.5 to 1.9 m/s.
Typically, the spring flood begins in mid-March and lasts until mid-May. The water level is usually at its lowest in July and August, although summer rain floods often cause the water level to rise temporarily.
Available: Year-round

Why it’s worth it: You will experience the unique nature surrounding Vilnius and pass under six different bridges connecting the city’s riverbanks. During the trip, you can stop to swim or enjoy a snack at three of the city’s public beaches. You’ll have the chance to see art installations suspended under the bridges, and catch stunning views of Gediminas Tower, parts of the Old Town, and the city center from the water. You will finish your journey at a very convenient location – right by the White Bridge.
For your safety, participants must not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
